Joo Hyub is a cold blooded serial killer, but he tries to live unnoticed in a small village with his son Yong Ho. His son becomes friends with Ji Soo, who is a new transfer student at his school. Ji Soo soon realizes that Joo Hyub is a serial killer. Joo Hyub decides to kill Ji Soo for himself and his son.
I saw this in passing on Netflix’s Top 5 movie for a couple of days and it intrigued me specially seeing Ma DongSeok and Kim HyunSoo (from her role as the young FL on My Love From The Star) plus it’s just an hour watch so it’s pretty short and I watched it. I didn’t know that 1-hour would take me 2 days to finish this movie.
Ma Dong Seok, whom I had previously seen in a few dramas, was great as in this off kilter type of character. He definitely exuded danger. Even when I was not the one where his gaze was directed at, I could almost shiver. I hope he does more serious roles like this one. Also, Ahn Do Kyu (whom I remember from “Horse Doctor”) is one we need to keeps tabs on. He has the makings of a great actor. I can’t say much more without it being a spoiler. BUT, for me, whatever happened definitely clicked with the rest of the story.
I literally fell asleep in the middle of it so I finished it the following day and I was just completely lost. I don’t know where the plot is going or what even happened after I finish. There might be people who really loves this movie but I know this is not my cup of tea. A good take-away with this is that now, I wanted to watch other Kim HyunSoo and Ma DongSeok’s movies/dramas.
