It is Snyder’s first film based on an original concept. The film stars Emily Browning as “Babydoll,” a young woman who is committed to a mental institution and copes by envisioning it as a brothel. She teams up with four dancers/prisoners to escape before her scheduled lobotomy. As she collects the items she needs to escape, she enters another level of fantasy in which the women become strong, experienced warriors.
A lass , Babydoll, is locked away during a mental asylum by her abusive stepfather, where she is going to undergo a lobotomy in five days’ time. Faced with unimaginable odds, she retreats to a fantastical world in her imagination where she and 4 other female asylum inmates plot to flee the power . the road between reality and fantasy blurs as Babydoll and therefore the others, plus a mysterious guide, fight to retrieve the five items which will allow them to break away from their captors in time.

Me being a lover of Zack Snyder’s movies, I went into see punch with the right level of expectations and that i came out happy. The movie almost like other Snyder’s movies, is fantasy based and high on style with stunning slow-motion action scenes and a pulsating background score. If you expect a classic cinematic masterpiece, give this one a miss. This movie must be seen as a out n out commercial entertainer. Girls ruled the movie and that they looked hot(particularly Jamie Chung). Watchmen and now this movie. i might definitely watch this movie again. Now expecting Snyder’s JUSTICE League reboot 🙂
